Welcome to Palette Swap! We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our application, Palette Swap (hereinafter referred to as the "Application").

1. Information We Collect

We collect the minimum amount of information necessary for the Application to function:

• Account Creation Information:

  We use the ready-made FirebaseUI solution for authentication. This means we do not build our own login system but entrust it to Google's secure infrastructure. Depending on the login method you choose (Google account or email/password), we receive the following from Firebase:

  • Your name (to be displayed in the interface).
  • Your unique user identifier (UID).
  • Your email address.

  We receive this data via a secure token (JWT) and use it to create your profile in our system.

• User Content (Images):

  We do not store or have access to your images. All images you upload, as well as their modification history, are processed and stored exclusively in your browser's local storage on your device.

• Subscription Information:

  To manage access to paid features, we store your UID and email address in our database on Alibaba Cloud. This allows us to verify your subscription.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain the functionality of the Application.
• To authenticate users and manage accounts via Firebase.
• To display your name in the Application's interface.
• To process subscriptions and provide access to premium features through verification with Alibaba Cloud.
• To ensure security and prevent fraud.

3. Sharing Information with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal information. We share data with third parties only when it is necessary for the operation of the Application and to provide you with services:

• Service Providers:
  • Firebase (Google): We use the FirebaseUI solution for authentication. The login and account management process is handled by Google. We only receive a token (JWT) to identify the user in our system. Google's Privacy Policy is available here.
  • Alibaba Cloud: We use Alibaba Cloud's cloud functions and database to verify your subscription status and store your UID and email for verification. Your email is not shared with any other third parties.
  • Payeer: To process subscription payments, we use the Payeer payment system. When you pay for a subscription, we redirect you to Payeer's secure payment page. We do not collect, store, or process your bank card or account details. You provide all payment information directly to Payeer in accordance with their user agreement and privacy policy.
• For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to a court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

4. Data Storage and Security

The security of your data is our priority.

• User Content (Images): As mentioned, your images and their modification history are stored exclusively locally in your browser. You have full control over this data.
• Account Data: Your UID and email address are stored in a secure database on Alibaba Cloud. We use standard security practices to protect this data.

Despite our efforts, no method of transmitting data over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your information: You can request information about the personal data we hold about you (UID and email).
• Delete your information: You can request the deletion of your account and its associated information by contacting us.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Application is not intended for use by persons under the age of 13 (or another age established by the laws of your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the Application and updating the "Last Updated" date.
